Brief: Credo Launches Info Lit Module

Credo has launched an information literacy course module designed for use by libraries and other academic institutions.

Aligned to standards from the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) the module is designed "to supplement existing instruction or as a full for-credit course," according to information released by the company.

Features of the module include:

  • Cloud-based multimedia;
  • Tutorials;
  • Videos;
  • Online activities;
  • Course notes;
  • Guides; and
  • The ability to customize the module to reflect institutional branding.

"We are very excited about the [Information Literacy Course Module]," said Christal Ferrance, instructional design librarian at George Mason University, in a prepared statement. The modules are very comprehensive and cover most, if not all, of the topics important to us for in-person and online instruction."
