Hitachi Intros Four New Ultra-Short-Throw Projectors

Hitachi America has introduced four new ultra-short-throw 3LCD projectors designed for delivering large images in limited spaces.

The basic specs for each model:

• CP-AX2503: 2,700 lumens color and white light output; XGA resolution
• CP-AW2503: 2,700 lumens color and white light output; WXGA resolution
• CP-AX3503: 3,300 lumens color light output; 3,600 lumens white light output; XGA resolution
• CP-AW3003: 3,300 lumens color light output; 3,600 lumens white light output; WXGA resolution

All four projectors include Hitachi's High Dynamic Contrast Range feature, which allows users to alter contrast when ambient light is present. Hitachi's Accentualizer technology enhances sharpness, gloss and shadow detail while providing greater depth of field, according to the company.

The projectors can be used in tabletop mode or wall mounted. Inputs include: two HDMI inputs, two computer HD-15 inputs, three USB inputs for use with a USB memory stick, wireless adapter or mouse plus component, composite video, audio and mic A/V jacks. All the projectors have computer monitor and audio outputs. In addition, all four models have RS-232C and RJ-45 Ethernet ports. An optional wireless adapter lets users connect their computer to the projectors via a wireless network. The projectors' PC-less presentation feature enables users to project images directly from a USB thumb drive, eliminating the need to connect a computer.
