Turnitin Launches Grade Anything for Assessing 'Virtually Any' Assignment
Turnitin has launched Grade Anything, a tool designed to check for originality and provide feedback on assignments in any file type and even on assignments that require no file.
The new tool can be used to assess "virtually any type of assignement," including presentations, spreadsheets, designs and calculations, according to a company news release, and provides a grading template for assessing assignments such as performances and recitals.
"Grade Anything will be an instrumental teaching tool for me," said Rebecca Hewett, lecturer at California State University, Bakersfield, in a prepared statement. "For example, in one assignment, my students create public service announcements in a poster format. It is incredibly helpful to upload the posters to Turnitin so I can give them quick, specific, high-quality feedback."
