U North Carolina Wilmington Adopts Transcript Platform To Improve Automation
The University of North Carolina Wilmington has migrated to a new transcript ordering
platform in an effort to increase automation.
The university decided to stick with its old provider, Credentials
eScrip-Safe, and adopt TranscriptPlus. The new
platform uses a Java application, RoboRegistrar,
that offers increased automation of ordering, processing and delivery of transcripts relative to
Transcripts on Demand, the university's
previous transcript platform.
"Since 2003, TranscriptsPlus has been working in tandem with RoboRegistrar to automate back-end transcript processing and streamline the
entire transcript process," according to anews release. "Functionality includes locating records, checking for holds, authenticating students
and alumni, communicating via email and text and facilitating fulfillment based on the format preference of the receiving institution."
"This has been the fastest and most efficient implementation I've experienced," said Jonathan Reece, University Registrar at the University
of North Carolina Wilmington, in a prepared statement. "The transcript staff at UNC Wilmington is happy with the service and excited about
using this newfound time to explore additional opportunities and responsibilities in the office. We look forward to partnering with Credentials
eScrip-Safe for years to come."
