Linn-Benton CC Launches Online Campus

The completely online program offers flexibly paced courses designed for students who face difficulties attending traditional classes owing to issues with transportation, work, scheduling conflicts, childcare needs and more.

Funded through a four-year Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grant, LB iLearn allows students to begin courses any Wednesday fo the year. Students also pay a flat monthly rate to take as many courses as they like, rather than a per-credit tuition.

"Support is a key element of the LB iLearn campus," according to a news release. "Each student is provided with a Navigator who acts as a mentor who will stay with them from when they start to when they finish their credential. Each course is equipped with a Content Expert that is available for extra help and an Assessment Evaluator who grades coursework and provides meaningful feedback. This team of support ensures students do not feel 'on their own' and promotes student success."

LB iLearn's current offerings include:

• A short-term certificates in social media, medical coding and reimbursement, office technology skills and accounting clerk;
• An associate's degree in business administration; and
• Courses in computed tomography for students who have already earned a diagnostic imaging license.

The school plans to add more courses and programs in the future.
