Online LMS Adds Free-Form Quiz Questions

A Web-based learning management system introduced earlier this year that allows instructors to deliver quizzes, courses and training online has been updated.

The newest edition of ScriptoPro adds a new question type called "Free Form" that allows the teacher to create fill-in-the-blank questions and use automated grading by providing acceptable responses. The service's discussion board also lets the instructor remove all discussions from the class with a single click.

ScriptoPro offers modules for creating quizzes, surveys, pools, flashcards, vocabulary builders, a course calendar, grade book and certificate generator. Those components can be embedded in ScriptoPro class pages or on an instructor's existing Web site or blog.

According to the company, the service has been adopted by faculty at Arizona State University; California State University, Fullerton; and Saddleback College, also in California, among other institutions.
