U Central Florida Adopts New Tools To Engage Admitted Students

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has adopted new tools in an effort to improve engagement among incoming students.

The university has adopted S360 Yield and Parents Yield from Evolution Labs. S360 offers newly admitted students mobile- and Web-based experiences "engaging Web and mobile-based experiences designed to foster a meaningful affinity between student and school, and to impact deposits, summer melt and, ultimately, student success," according to a news release. "The platform provides admits with highly individualized content tailored to the criteria and interests they find most relevant to their own college journey — whether they're interested in exploring a major or discovering what it's like to live in a residence hall."

As new students learn more about the school through material written by experts, videos and surveys, they are also able to interact with other newly admitted students, view social media feeds from staff and students or connect program features with their own social networks.

"Evolution Labs' approach to enrollment yield is student-centric; their platform and its features can help us build a better relationship with admits and their parents by focusing on the individual interests and needs of each family," said Gordon Chavis, associate vice president for enrollment services at UCF, in a prepared statement. "It is technology with a purpose — their platform will help the university build stronger relationships with admitted students and families by providing an immersive, one-to-one experience at a scale that our growing enrollment demands."
