Optoma Launches 3 Laser, Ultra-Short Throw Projectors for Education Market

Optoma has released three new, ultra-short throw laser projectors designed to meet the education and corporate markets’ needs for reliability and flexibility, coupled with outstanding image performance. In addition, the company today has launched its Education First program to bring insights, incentives and customer support to K–12 and higher learning institutions.

The Optoma ZH400UST features a 1080p high definition, bright and colorful image, designed to be projected from just inches away from a screen or surface. Equipped with several digital input/outputs and a PC-free USB media player for playback of video and audio files, along with viewing of images and presentations shared directly from any USB device, it is furnished with state-of-the-art laser phosphor display technology to offer the best in picture quality and color performance. It has an estimated 20,000-plus hours of light source performance for virtually maintenance-free operation.

The Optoma ZW300UST and ZW300USTi combine laser phosphor image quality and reliability, with an ultra-short throw lens making them flexible in any environment. They also feature deep black levels with a 100,000-to-1 contrast ratio, which, combined with the projector’s color capabilities, can provide a captivating viewer experience. The ZW300USTi takes its performance even further by delivering next generation TouchBEAM interactive touch technology, compatible and compliant with both Windows and OS X.

These new Optoma projectors feature an MHL-powered HDMI port that supports popular streaming and presentation dongles such as Optoma’s HD CastPro and Amazon’s FireTV, while the USB port can be utilized to power Optoma’s WHD200 wireless HMDI system or Google’s Chromecast media dongle. The 10-watt speakers in all three projectors can enhance presentations, videos and audio files and simplify audio integration.

The Optoma ZH400 UST , ZW300UST and ZW300USTi are now available for an estimated street price of $2,999, $1,799 and $1,999, respectively.

Timed with the launch of these new projectors, Optoma is also kicking off it Education First program, offering increased discounts, enhanced technical support, extended product warranties and free lamps and lenses to education customers.
