Indiana U Expands Use of Salesforce CRM

Having long used Salesforce.org's constituent management system for student recruiting, Indiana University is now expanding its deployment of technology university-wide, to improve the way it the institution interacts with students, faculty, staff and other constituents. The new agreement will include a range of Salesforce products, such as such as Salesforce Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.

The implementation will consolidate multiple CRM systems, allowing users in any IU location to interact on a single platform, according to a news announcement. More than 190 IU departments currently use the Salesforce Marketing Cloud for student and employee engagement; for example, the technology is used for Human Resources case management across the university.

"In recent years, IU has achieved much success with the initial implementation of Salesforce products across many parts of the university. Now, we are rapidly expanding Salesforce to all of IU as a means to improve how we communicate with each constituent," said Brad Wheeler, IU vice president for IT and chief information officer, in a statement. "This expansion represents one of Salesforce.org's largest multi-campus universities with enterprise-wide implementations across a state."
