Kenzie Academy Taps Digital Community Platform for Software Engineering Program

Kenzie Academy, a division of Southern New Hampshire University focused on job training, is providing its software engineering students with an on-demand, virtual space where they can connect with peers and instructors. The institution is using InScribe's digital community platform to help students navigate their curriculum and advance in their careers, according to a news announcement.

The InScribe platform provides a space for peer-to-peer Q&A, allowing users to ask questions, search for answers, share resources and more. Students can collaborate and find support anytime, anywhere, even when instructors are not available. Users build their reputation by answering questions an helping one another. The platform uses artificial intelligence to analyze and moderate posts, escalating high-priority issues and identifying situations that require intervention.

By integrating the platform into its Software Engineering Program and utilizing the peer-to-peer approach to learning support, Kenzie aims to help students build a deeper understanding of course and programming concepts as well as develop key teamwork, communication and knowledge-sharing skills.

"Because students are not learning on the same schedule, and many of them are also balancing work and academics, it's imperative that we create personalized learning spaces where they can easily get the information and help they need to succeed," said Jen Scott, interim executive director of Kenzie Academy, in a statement. "InScribe makes sure our students are not alone in the process. Whether they have a question on the content, want to bounce an idea off a colleague, or need a confidence boost, InScribe makes it easy for students to find answers, give feedback, and build relationships that will support them now and as they move forward in their careers."
