University of Southern California Upgrades to Cloud-Based Degree Audit Solution

The University of Southern California has long utilized CollegeSource's uAchieve Degree Audit solution to manage the increasingly complex transfer articulation and degree audit process for students. Now, the institution is upgrading to uAchieve in the Cloud.

USC processes more than 5,000 transfer credit evaluations each year. Thanks to a tight integration with CollegeSource's Transfer Evaluation System (TES), uAchieve enables the institution to automatically track and evaluate transfer credits for all coursework and ensure students are awarded credits deserved, the company explained. By moving that workload to the cloud, USC will gain improved security, scalability, control, stability and more. In addition, uAchieve's Degree Discovery tool will allow the institution to help students discover degrees and credentials they qualify for based on course credits earned.

"CollegeSource has continued to deliver time and again, from Transfer Articulation (TA) in uAchieve to TES, which has been a game-changer for the entire institution, especially during the onset of the pandemic," said Matt Bemis, associate registrar at USC, in a statement. "Based on our longstanding 'marriage' with CollegeSource, we're incredibly excited to shift our heavily relied upon degree audit and transfer articulation engine to the cloud."
