Informatica Launches Intelligent Data Management Cloud

At the 2022 Educause Annual Conference on higher education information technology, Informatica announced its launch of an AI-powered, cloud-native data management platform, called Intelligent Data Management Cloud. It connects, manages, and unifies data across any multi-cloud, hybrid system.

The launch of its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) will address multiple decentralized creation, access, and siloed data issues higher education faces in achieving the digital transformation necessary in the rapidly changing IT landscape, Informatica said. The new software will create a 360-degree view of the student experience from recruitment to graduation, as well as allow integration of microservices across multiple platforms. Powered by AI and machine learning engine CLAIRE and built on a serverless stack, IDMC is "cloud-native at scale" and does not require coding experience on the part of users, the company said. It maintains data accuracy, security, and privacy and manages data "on any platform, any cloud and for any user in multi-cloud and multi-hybrid environments."
