Watermark Integrates Generative AI into Higher Education Tools

Watermark has announced the addition of generative AI to its suite of higher education software tools to increase efficiency, personalize learning, streamline operations, and enhance recruitment and enrollment.

The ed tech company cited "rising costs and fluctuating student enrollments" as drivers of the enhancements, it said, to help its client colleges and universities improve their effectiveness. Two examples of enhancements include:

  • Outcomes generation using AI: Institutions can generate foundational individual learning or success outcome goals to align with the institution's academic and administrative goals; and
  • AI auto-parsed CV imports of faculty publication selections to ease administrative tasks and free up more time to devote to research, teaching, and service.

"The integration of AI into our solutions is more than just technological advancement; it's about reshaping the future of higher education," said Erin Shy, Watermark CEO. "Our latest AI tools are designed to empower institutions, offering them insights, automation, and efficiencies. Our commitment to our partner institutions is to equip them with the best tools that lead to enriched student experiences and outcomes."

Watermark will host a free one-hour online talk, "IT Leaders' Perspective on Tech Transformation in Higher Ed," on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at 1 p.m. CDT. Presenters will be Brett Weisz, chief information officer at Montana State University Billings; and Daran Bauer Kahan, chief product and technology officer at Watermark. Topics will Include:
