The company also has launched an IT asset management and theft recovery program for netbooks. ePO provides a central console from which administrators can manage agents, policies, and other security mechanisms on the network.More
- In an intense, three-day competition that included fighting back cyber assaults, IT students from Michigan-based Baker College of Flint won the fourth annual Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition held in San Antonio, TX for the second year in a row. The team successfully defended Baker's position as the reigning national champion against heavyweights Texas A&M University and six other colleges and universities from around the country.More

- Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR recently tried out its new Rave Alert system with a test designed to overtax its network and slow down or interfere with alerts getting through. At 1 p.m. on April 16, in remembrance of the Virginia Tech killings, university students, faculty, and staff were all asked to make outgoing phone calls from their cell phones. Simultaneously, university administrators issued a Rave Alert test to determine how well the system would work even when cell phones were at the peak of usage.More

- The University of Cincinnati has implemented Cenzic Hailstorm to safeguard data of students, faculty, and staff. Using Hailstorm the university will be able to proactively scan all IT managed Web sites campus wide, identifying vulnerabilities and performing remediation. In addition, the university is also implementing regular testing into its software development lifecycle.More
