Academic Partnerships and Internships.com Team Up To Help Students' Job Searches

Online learning provider Academic Partnerships has entered an agreement with Internships.com that will provide students at more than 40 public universities free access to its database of internship and career opportunities.

Through the strategic partnership, current and future university partners represented by Academic Partnerships will be able to offer their students access to Internships.com, a job database featuring internships and part-time and full-time job opportunities.

The database includes listings for more than 125,000 companies, such as Microsoft, AT&T, and NBC Universal, their contact information, and industry resources designed to facilitate networking and career searches. The site also includes an online certification course in basic workplace skills and professional assessment tests designed to help students identify values, skill sets, personal qualities, and preferences.

Internships.com plans to integrate its platform into Academic Partnerships' network. The new platform will also incorporate popular social networking sites designed to encourage and enhance social connections and networking.

"We are committed to providing industry-leading offerings to the universities with which we partner, and the virtual career platform that we have created with Internships.com is another example of that commitment," said Founder and Chairman of Academic Partnerships Randy Best, in a prepared statement. "Colleges and universities play an important role in supporting students seeking internships and employment opportunities, and we are pleased to provide our partners and the students they serve with a tool that will contribute to their success."

Representing more than 40 partner universities, Academic Partnerships helps institutions convert traditional college courses into an online format, and recruits students for online degree programs. For more information, visit academicpartnerships.com.
