University of Utah Taps StormWind for Online Tech Training

The University of Utah's Division of Continuing Education is turning to online training and e-learning company StormWind to provide courses specifically for Cisco, Microsoft and CompTIA training. The division offers credit and non-credit courses that serve over 30,000 students annually from around the world.

StormWind's courses run for two hours a day over a two-week period, and feature high-definition, interactive video designed to bring content to life and engage learners at all levels, according to the company. Hands-on labs help students practice their skills, and classes are recorded for searchable reference.

"This is a very exciting strategy for the Technology Education division at the University of Utah," said Inita Lyon, director of Technology Education at University of Utah, in a prepared statement. "These courses will allow students to work on their continuing education and IT certification without falling behind in their jobs."
