ReadCube Expands Tools for Research Article Management
ReadCube has expanded its suite of scholarly literature tools with a new release of the free ReadCube desktop application; ReadCube Pro, a premium add-on to the desktop version; ReadCube iOS apps; and SmartCite, a Word-compatible citation tool.
Available free for both Mac and PC, ReadCube's desktop application allows researchers to organize and manage their scholarly article libraries, and discover new literature through searches and daily personalized recommendations. ReadCube Pro adds cloud sync with unlimited storage space for $5 per month or $45 per year. Pro users can access their library notes, and recommendations instantly across all their devices.
ReadCube's free iOS apps extend the desktop functionalities to mobile devices. Features include:
- Integrated search and article downloads;
- Interactive PDFs with clickable inline references and annotation tools;
- Personalized recommendations;
- Simple integration with institutional proxies; and
- Cloud sync across multiple devices.
SmartCite, ReadCube's Word-compatible citation tool enables researchers to insert citations from their ReadCube library, create bibliographies and choose from a large variety of journal formatting styles. Users can directly cite articles from online databases and collaborate with their coauthors.
