NEC Unveils 2 New High-Brightness Installation Projectors to its PA Series

NEC PA722X ProjectorNEC Display Solutions of America is rolling out two new high-brightness installation projectors to its PA Series. Designed for large classrooms and auditoriums, the PA672W and PA722X offer light output of up to 7,200 lumens and can be stacked to produce a combined resolution of up to 4K.

Both models offer a contrast ratio of 6000:1. The PA672W provides a native resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a brightness of 6,700 lumens. The PA722X offers a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a brightness of 7,200 lumens. 

Features of both projectors include the following:

  • dual HDMI connectivity with HDCP, DisplayPort, VGA, and 5BNC;
  • lamp life of up to 4,000 hours;
  • a complete line of six bayonet-style lenses;
  • a 1.5 to 3.02 throw ratio;
  • DICOM simulation; and
  • built-in HDBaseT support.

The built-in HDBaseT connectivity technology runs uncompressed full-HD digital video, audio, Ethernet, power and various other controls through one cable.

Both projectors’ input and output terminals include VGA 15-pin D-sub, 5-BNC, HDMI w/HDCP, HDBaseT, Mini stereo and HDMI.

The PA672W and PA722X projectors ship with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, and are available now at prices of $4,449 and $4,599, respectively. The warranty covers the lamp for 1 year or 500 hours, whichever comes first. Education customers can receive an additional year on their warranties, and Star Student customers can get an additional two years of warranty when they register their products.
