Marylhurst Automates Admissions Processes with Enrollment Rx

A 1,400-student university in Portland, OR is moving its administrative work to a cloud-based constituent relationship management (CRM) program. Marylhurst University recently went live with Enrollment Rx, a CRM from a company of the same name.
The school pursued a CRM to replace a combination of manual processes performed in the admissions office. The assessment process reviewed several products, including some built on salesforce.com. According to a statement by the company, Marylhurst chose Enrollment Rx for several reasons:
- Since the software runs through a Web browser, admissions staff and recruiters could access it online from anywhere;
- The program integrates with Jenzabar, the university's student information system;
- It can be customized to accommodate new data points; and
- The company provided professional services to help the school create a custom portal for use by students to track their application status from department to department.
"Enrollment Rx stood out because they were extremely interested in becoming well versed in our business processes," said Beth Woodward, VP of Enrollment Management at Marylhurst. "They didn't shy away from trying to find creative solutions to some of our unique operational challenges." Among those "unique" challenges is an application cycle that spans four terms.
The software is also in use by Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, Dixie State University in Utah and the University of Miami in Florida, among others. The company also provides software for retention, placement, alumni management and student tracking.
