Finalists in Fluke Connect Student Contest Announced
Fluke has selected five finalists for its Connect
Student Contest, in which teams from colleges, universities and trade
schools
compete to present the project that demonstrates the best use of Fluke's
wireless testing tools.
The finalists will complete their projects by December 5,
when
both a panel of six judges and the public, which will vote via Facebook, will
pick the team that has made the biggest impact using the Fluke Connect
system.
The five finalists and their projects are:
Fluke Connect is the latest generation of the Fluke Corp.'s
wireless test tools, used by maintenance technicians, electricians and
engineers. The competition tests the college teams' skills, innovation
and
business applications.
After the projects are posted on Fluke Connect's Facebook page December 5, the public will have 10 days to look at them and place
their
votes. Seventy-five percent of the decision on the winner will be based
on the judges'
panel and 25 percent on the public.
The winning team will receive a paid trip for three
members and an adviser to Fluke headquarters in Seattle along with
$1,000 worth
of Fluke tools and the Fluke Connect tools used in the competition,
worth about
$2,500.
