Regent Partners with N2N for SIS Integration

Regent Education has partnered with N2N Services in an effort to make it easier for schools to implement the Regent 8 financial aid management system.

According to Regent Education, schools are adopting the Regent 8 financial aid management system as they shift from time-bound enrollment models and to student-centric enrollment models, such as borrower-based, non-term and competency-based models, and the Regent 8 financial aid management system can support those more student-centric models. However, Regent's current process of integration with student information systems (SIS) requires the involvement of school IT departments, and the limited resources of those departments can delay the deployment of Regent 8 in schools.

"Many of our customers have a very immediate need to re-engineer their Title IV administrative processes," said Randy Jones, CEO of Regent Education, in a prepared statement. "In some cases the necessity is based on the need to reduce operating costs, and in other cases it is the need to support non-traditional models like competency based.  Our current SIS integration process requires involvement from school IT departments, and limited IT resources at the institution can result in a delay in the deployment of Regent 8.  Our partnership with N2N will help schools overcome this issue."

N2N Services is a software and services firm focused on the higher education market. This partnership will enable Regent to use N2N's integration cloud to create adapters to help IT staff integrate Regent 8 into their student information systems faster. Regent Education will develop the adapters using N2N integration APIs (application programming interfaces) for N2N's "Dataport" edition. "These adapters will create a repeatable process that will reduce resource needs for both Regent and the institutions they serve," according to information from Regent Education.
