Vincennes U Adopts Tool to Connect Students to STEM opportunities

Vincennes University has adopted a new platform designed to connect students with opportunities in STEM careers and education.

The university has selected STEM Premier, "a virtual hub, bringing together students ages 13+, with colleges, universities, companies and organizations," according to a news release. "Students showcase their talents through digital profiles, discover resources and scholarships, receive guidance and coaching and connect with colleges and companies who can view student profiles and recruit them directly via internal messaging."

The new partnership will benefit high school students throughout Indiana through the university's early college and business and industry programs. The platform will asom be customized to help ensure smooth transitions to internships, work-to-learn opportunities and full-time employment.

"Vincennes University has been connecting our students and corporate employer partners for years," said David A. Tucker, vice president for workforce development and community services for Vincennes University, in a prepared statement. "STEM Premier will provide the whole spectrum of our students — high school dual credit, early college, traditional, work and learn and adult learners — with greater access to opportunities with Indiana businesses."
