Jenzabar Talks up New Bundle of Student Success Modules

Education technology heavyweight Jenzabar has begun delivering an application tied to student retention and success. The announcement was made at this week's Educause conference taking place in Anaheim.

Jenzabar Guided Pathways to Success (GPS), as it's called, includes multiple functions:

  • Academic preparation;
  • Educational strategy;
  • Graduation planner;
  • Roadmap;
  • Student performance;
  • Tutoring;
  • Advising; and
  • Career and internships.

The set also uses predictive analytics, intended to generate recommendations that help students with their academic and career decisions. Institutions can generate reports and alerts for advisors and faculty for timely interventions.

The Guided Pathways suite addresses university concerns related to college readiness, retention, on-time graduation and career readiness.

"Jenzabar Guided Pathways to Success empowers students to take control over their educational journey, optimally navigate through college and be ready for a successful career. The system brings together the fundamental areas that make up a successful higher education," said Eileen Smith, vice president of marketing and communications for the company, in a statement. "Students get a holistic view of their optimal path through college and into the job market. Institutions get the data needed to provide the ideal educational experience."

The company has whitelisted the technology from India-based ExcelSoft, which has multiple applications for higher education; this specific product was initially developed with input from Boise State University.
