Shorter University has signed on for IT services from an education tech dynamic duo. MoreOracle has released Oracle NoSQL Database 11g, the company's new entry into the NoSQL database market. Oracle NoSQL Database is a distributed, highly scalable, key-value database that uses the Oracle Berkeley Database Java Edition as its underlying storage system. MoreAppSense, which develops products to help organizations virtualize user settings, is creating a set of programs to let users install applications without administrative rights even in lockdown situations. MoreDatatel has revised its services offerings to provide as little or as much support for its IT applications as its institutional customers want. The company, whose flagship offering, Colleague, powers enterprise operations for hundreds of universities and colleges in the country, said it now also offers that suite of applications in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
