AVerMedia Kicks Off Video Contest
AVerMedia Technologies, a provider of multimedia and presentation tools, is launching a new contest for students, instructors, and administrators, calling on them to produce videos describing compelling classroom experiences made possible through the use of document cameras. The contest, dubbed the AVerVision Video Contest, is open to all North American K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.
Classes that do not currently have a document camera can also submit videos "describing the difficulty of using traditional presentation technology in the classroom," according to the company.
One grand prize winner will receive an AVerVision SPC300 Premium Portable Visual Presenter system; the first-place winner will receive an AVerVision300AF; second place will receive an AVerVision150; and third place will receive an AVerVision130. According to AVerMedia, submissions will be judged on "originality, creativity of production, and creativity of the actual classroom lesson plan or application represented."
The contest opens Sept. 1 and closes Nov. 15. Winners will be announced Dec. 15. More information on entering the contest can be found at the link below.
