Roxbury CC Looks To Boost Enrollment with Portal Solution
Roxbury Community College is beefing up its enrollment and constituent relationship management efforts. The college, located in Roxbury Crossing, near Boston, has signed on to use portal and CRM solutions from Jenzabar, as well as the Informz Text Messaging solution.
The Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution is a portal system designed specifically for higher education. It includes functionality for electronic learning, community building, Web services, and communications. The college will use it in an effort to boost enrollment with applications like online inquiry forms and Web-based applications for admission.
The college is also using two Jenzabar Constituent Relationship modules--CRM Candidate and CRM Student. CRM Candidate offers various communications tools, such as chat and forums, as well as access to information about prospects, such as admissions status and other data. CRM Student provides on the fly information for students about themselves, such as course history, grades, class schedules, etc.
"We have seen a need to expand to the online world of enrollment,” said Stephanie C. Janey, vice president of enrollment management and student affairs at Roxbury, in a statement released this week. "Selecting Jenzabar was an obvious choice since we have been a longstanding customer of theirs and implementing Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution seemed like a natural fit."
Roxbury will also use Informz Text Messaging for text notifications and two-way messaging.
Roxbury Community College serves about 2,400 students (1,900 FTEs) and employs about 190 faculty and staff.
