Temple U Moves to Unified Digital Campus
Temple University in Pennsylvania announced recently that it's shifting its campus systems over to SunGard Higher Education's "Unified Digital Campus." The move is part of an initiative to improve and unify campus services, including administrative functions, learning communities, and other technologies.
The Unified Digital Campus solution will replace Temple's existing software systems to provide an "efficient, personalized, self-service environment." UDC combines software and service solutions from SunGard HE and its partner providers.
"After an extensive vendor evaluation, we determined that SunGard Higher Education offers the vision, solutions, services, and relationship that match our needs as a large, complex research institution," said Tim O'Rourke, chief information officer of Temple University, in a statement released last week. "Providing a unified digital campus will help us improve everything from teaching and faculty scholarship to student life and business operations. Over the next five years, we will bring efficiencies, convenience, data security and other improvements to almost every process on campus."
Temple University in Philadelphia serves more than 35,000 students and operates 17 campuses and centers around the world. Further information can be found at the links below.
