Casio Revamps Projector Lineup, Intros WXGA DLP Projector
Casio has debuted several new models in its lineup of "Super Slim" micro portable DLP projectors, including a new WXGA model that weighs in at 3.96 pounds.
The XJ-S43W
The upcoming WXGA model, the XJ-S43W, offers a resolution of 1,280 x 800, a brightness of 2,500 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of 1,800:1. It also offers a 2x powered zoom/focus lens, automatic vertical keystone correction (±30 degrees), HDMI input, and direct power on/off. Like all of the Super Slim projectors, it comes in a form factor that's 1.69 inches tall, including protrusions. Overall dimensions are 10.63" (W) x 7.83" (D) x 1.69" (H). It can project from as close as 2.8 feet to as far away as 30 feet.
The XJ-S43W model will sell for $999 and will be available in September.

XJ-S68 and XJ-S63
The Casio XJ-S68 and XJ-S63 are 3,500-lumen projectors offering a resolution of 1,024 x 768 (XGA) and a contrast ratio of 1,800:1. They can project from as little as 2.75 feet up to 30 feet.
Other features of the two models include 2x power zoom and focus lens; automatic and manual vertical keystone correction ±30 degrees; RS-232 control; 1 watt mono speaker; security features, including compatibility with Kensington lock and power on password; and direct power on/off.
The XJ-S68 and XJ-S63 are identical save for a USB port on the XJ-S68 that can be used for wireless connectivity using a wireless adapter, according to Casio.
The XJ-S68 and XJ-S63 will sell for $1,299 to $1,399 and will be available in September.
XJ-S58, XJ-S53, XJ-S48, XJ-S43, XJ-S38, XJ-S33
Finally, Casio is also refreshing six models in its Super Slim lineup, including the XJ-S58, XJ-S53, XJ-S48, XJ-S43, XJ-S38, and XJ-S33. The XJ-S58, XJ-S48, and XJ-S38 all feature a USB host function that will allow for wireless connectivity through an optional WiFi receiver and for computer-free presentations with USB storage devices.
All of the new models offer an XGA resolution and a contrast ratio of 1,800:1. The XJ-S53 and XJ-S58 offer a brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens; the XJ-S43 and XJ-S48 have a brightness of 2,700 ANSI lumens; and the XJ-S33 and XJ-S38 offer a brightness of 2,300 ANSI lumens.
Each offers a 2x power zoom and focus lens; ±30 degree automatic vertical keystone correction; RS-232 control; power on password and compatibility with Kensington lock; and direct power on/off.
The XJ-S58, XJ-S53, XJ-S48, XJ-S43, XJ-S38, and XJ-S33 will range in price from $699 to $1,199. Specific release dates have not been announced.
