InFocus Rolls Out 3D DLP Projectors

InFocus recently began shipping four new models in its mobile and portable ranges of 3D-capable DLP projectors, including a sub-$500 classroom projector.
Included in the new lineup are two high-end and two entry-level models. On the higher end, the IN2116 and IN3116 both offer a wide XGA resolution (1,200 x 800 pixels) and a contrast ratio of 2,100:1. The 3116 and 2116 are portable models, both weighing 7 pounds and measuring 4.6" x 9.5" x 12.4".
The IN3116 is the brighter of the two, at 3,500 lumens. (The IN2116 has a brightness of 3,000 lumens.) The IN3116 also offers DisplayLink for communicating image data via USB, as well as HDMI input.
Other features include:
- Digital keystone correction (±30 degrees vertical);
- 1.2x zoom;
- LiteTouch backlit keypad for control in dark environments; and
- A built-in Web portal for LAN management.
Both projectors offer two component inputs, two 15-pin mini D-sub ports, one S-video port, and one composite (RCA) port. Both also include two 5-watt speakers, monitor output, and a 3.5 mm stereo minijack.
On the lower end of the scale, the IN102 and IN104 are both mobile projectors, weighing in at about 5 pounds and measuring 3.7" x 8.8" x 10.4". The two models are identical in exterior detail, and both offer a brightness of 2,500 lumens in high brightness mode and a contrast ratio of 1,500:1. The IN102 has an SVGA resolution (800 x 600), while the IN104 offers an XGA resolution (1,024 x 768). Both also offer ±30 degree vertical keystone correction and a 1.1x zoom lens.
Inputs on the IN102 and IN104 include one component, two 15-pin mini D-sub, one S-video, and one composite video port. Both include a mono 2-watt integrated speaker, monitor out, and a 3.5 mm stereo minijack.
All four of the projectors are available now. The IN102 runs $499; the IN104 sells for $649; the IN2116 sells for $1,099; and the high-end IN3116 sells for $1,699. Further information can be found here.
