TeamDynamixHE 8.1 Brings Asset Tracking to Project and Portfolio Management Suite

TeamDynamix has released an update to its project and portfolio management software for higher education, TeamDynamixHE. The new version, TeamDynamixHE 8.1, adds
"hundreds" of new features, including the addition of asset management functionality.

TeamDynamixHE is a Web-based project management system designed specifically for information technology departments in higher education institutions. It offers a single platform for analysis, communications, and management and includes risk analysis and scorecard ranking tools for prioritization.

The new version 8.1 incorporates a wide range of new features and enhancements. On the asset management front, version 8.1 now allows users to track physical assets "without needing to purchase and maintain a separate piece of software" and to track help desk tickets associated with those assets.

The new version also adds a People Database for tracking stakeholders and users; a new custom report builder that supports cross-project task reports; and improvements to ticketing, including new templates and "the capability to fully manage and connect incidents, problems, changes and releases."

"We worked collaboratively with TeamDynamix to enhance tickets and to develop asset and people management modules," said Amy Pearlman, head of support services at Bryn Mawr College Information Services, in a prepared statement. "The obvious benefit is combining both our ticket and project task work in TeamDynamixHE so that we are able to use one interface, one set of reporting, and one way of understanding our work. We have a lot of people who primarily work on projects, and before we started utilizing TeamDynamixHE, they had to go out of their way to update their occasional tickets. We also have technicians who mostly do tickets, but also need a way to manage project work. As a result of our partnership, we now have a single solution that works for our entire team."

TeamDynamixHE 8.1 is available now. More details can be found at teamdynamix.com.
