AAXA Intros Sub-$1,000 Mini 4K Projector
AAXA Technologies, known for its micro and pico projectors, has introduced a new 4K/ultra HD-resolution "mini projector" that comes in at less than a thousand bucks.
The new AAXA 4K1 offers a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 and a light output rating of 1,500 lumens. It's based around Texas Instruments' 4K MEMs imager and uses Osram Quadcast RGBB LEDs with Vibrant Color Technology. The LEDs have an estimated 30,000-hour life.
Other features include:
- 1.2:1 throw ratio;
- Dual 2-watt speakers;
- 130 watt power consumption;
- USB memory stick reader;
- Micro SD/TF card reader;
- Video inputs: Two HDMI 2.0 ports with HDCP 2.2 and composite (3.5mm) jack;
- Audio output: 3.5mm stereo jack.
The mini projector measures 8.3" x 7.2" x 2.4" and weighs in at 3.8 lbs.
