Sorting out privacy settings for apps on a smartphone is no job for a mere mortal. A research project at Carnegie Mellon University found that most people preferred the settings offered up by an automated "personalized privacy assistant" compared to the ones they could figure out for themselves. MoreGlobal shipments of wearable devices will grow 29 percent over 2015 to hit 101.9 million units this year according to a new forecast from market research firm International Data Corp. MoreGlobal smartphone sales will continue to grow, but not in the double digits anymore, according to market research firm Gartner. Smartphone sales are expected to grow 7 percent worldwide in 2016 and reach 1.5 billion units. That is significantly down from 14.4 percent growth in 2015, but it’s still substantial growth. More
