  • Coursera Adds A/B Testing to MOOC Platform

    Coursera is now allowing for A/B testing on its MOOC platform. This lets instructors and researchers test a single variable to see how it affects some aspect of the course, such as participation. As a Coursera blog article explained, the testing is done by "randomizing enrollees into different versions of the same course" and then seeing what impact the change-up makes on the "learning outputs."

  • New Summit to Explore Connected Learning

    A new Connected Learning Summit, taking place Aug. 1-3 at the MIT Media Lab, is focused on "harnessing emerging technology to expand access to participatory, playful, and creative learning." The event will bring together researchers, educators, developers and others interested in digital citizenship, equity and access, virtual reality, digital media and more.
