Western Governors University's College of Information Technology has adopted InScribe's digital community platform to bring a peer-to-peer support model to its competency-based courses. MoreThrough its partnership with edX, an online degree and digital course content company, the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) will launch a fully online Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI). MoreSpringboard, an online learning platform that emphasizes mentor-student relationships, today unveiled a new partnership with Gonzaga University to deliver two online “bootcamps” to learners aiming for careers in cybersecurity and software engineering.
MoreDreamscape Immersive, which has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to expand its new $20 million Series A STEM education virtual reality (VR) program Dreamscape Learn, has brought on ed tech veteran Josh Reibel as CEO. MoreEd tech company Cengage Group has released a follow-up to its 2022 report examining why workers quit their jobs during 2021 in what has been coined "The Great Resignation." In this 2023 sequel report, "Where Are They Now? The Great Resigners, One Year Later," the researchers examine in more depth the reasons why workers quit, and provide updates on resigners' new careers, job satisfaction, and recession fears, with implications for higher education. MorePTZOptics, a manufacturer of robotic pan, tilt, and zoom camera solutions, has partnered with NewBlue, a developer of video effects, transitions, and titling software. MoreAVer USA, a provider of video collaboration and education technology solutions, has introduced a new all-in-one camera with AI audio built for education, called the A30, combining a document camera, web camera, microphone, and speaker.
MoreEpson has introduced several new displays at the 2023 TCEA conference, focusing on enhanced collaboration for education and business. Included are several lamp-free laser projector displays in the PowerLite and BrightLink lines. MoreSMART Technologies is rolling out two new multi-user interactive displays, the SMART Board MX (V4) and the SMART Board GX (V2). The displays are designed to "allow multiple users to freely write, erase, and gesture at the same time, across platforms and applications." The announcement was made at the 2023 TCEA Convention & Exposition, taking place this week in San Antonio, TX. MoreLG Business Solutions introduced its newest product, CreateBoard, along with other ed tech, and announced expanded training programs through its LG Academy at the 2023 Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) in New Orleans.
