Camtasia Studio Adds Chroma Key Support, Video Cropping

TechSmith has released version 8.1 of is video capture and editing suite, Camtasia Studio.

Camtasia Studio is a screen recording and editing tool that also include support for recording simultaneously from connected audio and video devices, including USB webcams. Camtasia Studio offers a range of editing, compositing, and encoding tools, with support for special effects and transitions, media import, and support for text and shapes, among many other features. It also includes support for importing images, video, and audio in common formats.

The new release adds several editing and compositing features, including a new Remove a Color function for keying out backgrounds. It also includes the ability to crop videos, stitch clips together, and copy and apply effects to multiple clips.

Camtasia Studio 8.1 is available now. Camtasia 2.4 for OS X is also available. Additional details can be found on TechSmith's site.
