Edvance360 Adds Videoconferencing Tool

Edvance360 has partnered with MegaMeeting.com to add collaborative tools to its learning management system.

Dubbed E360 Live, the suite of tools includes a browser-based videoconferencing tool designed to allow instructors to "create ad-hoc learning opportunities, add synchronous components to asynchronous courses and create a blended/hybrid course," according to a news release. "Primary features include document sharing, live chat, live video-conferencing, live audio-conferencing and whiteboard capabilities."

Live sessions can be scheduled my teachers or course facilitators, and will then show up in an invited student's calendar. Students then join the session, which can be recorded, via any device they choose.

"This integration benefits Edvance360 clients by allowing course facilitators or instructions easy access to the scheduling and recording of live learning sessions," said Cathy Garland, vice president of marketing and sales, in a news release. "We are delighted to announce this seamless integration and look forward to serving and supporting our clients in providing our award-winning service and support, as they make greater strides to achieve uninterrupted live learning."
