William Penn Automates Non-Term Accounting

William Penn University has selected Regent Enterprise from Regent Education as its financial aid management solution. The Regent solution, which is Web-based, will be integrated with William Penn's existing database system.

The university, located in Oskaloosa, IA, has a full-time student population of more than 1,700, with 700 in the non-term program, 98 percent of whom receive some form of financial aid. With such a high percentage of students receiving aid, the institution sought an application that would automate its non-term processing.

"Regent Enterprise is taking William Penn to the next level of technology, allowing us to process aid in a non-term environment, using a secure, on-demand solution," said Provost Ann Fields. "The time that the financial aid staff will save through Regent's automated non-term capabilities, which William Penn is helping to define during our implementation, will allow the financial aid staff to focus more of their attention on the students and less on data processing and paperwork."

Because Regent Enterprise is delivered as software-as-a-service, the application is automatically updated, and implementation is accelerated.

The software is in use at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business in Pittsburgh and Glendale Community College in Arizona.
