Bethel U Seeks Streamlined Enrollment Management with Cloud Service

Bethel University, in St. Paul, MN, is adopting an online enrollment management system in an effort to streamline the "recruitment funnel" across departments and improve external communications to prospective students in its graduate, undergraduate and seminary programs. The university will be using Enrollment Rx from a company of the same name and expects the adoption to take place in summer 2014 among 65 users.

Enrollment Rx, built on the Salesforce.com platform, is one of several modules the company produces. Other applications in the same product line address retention, placement, alumni management and student information management. The cloud-based constituent relationship management program allows users such as recruiters at student recruitment events to enter data into their mobile devices and make it available to other departments on campus as well as maintain task lists, reminders and reports.

"Because of Enrollment Rx's deep expertise in higher ed, we were confident that we would be teaming up with a strong partner to transform how we manage enrollment," said Bethel CIO Mark Posner. "By not having to support home-grown systems anymore and eliminating the need for third-party application vendors, we expect a significant cost savings. Plus, establishing a common, consistent way of doing business will help us make great strides in how we communicate throughout the entire admissions process."

Other institutions that have used Enrollment Rx's software include Dixie State University in St. George, UT; Allegheny College in Pennsylvania; and Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, KS.
