Chalk & Wire Rebrand Seeks to Boost Experiential Learning

Chalk & Wire has rebranded its assessment platform. Now known as “CWPro,” the higher education platform aims to support experiential learning for college students, while offering increased scalability for administrators.

CWPro still allows administrators to keep track of students’ fieldwork experiences across disciplines. However, with the name change comes a few updates: CWPro now includes a bulk field placement importer and related templates. These aim to save administrators the trouble of designing all-new experiential learning opportunities and field placements for students. Instead, they can utilize planned assessment tools and survey forms to re-design templates, according to information from the company.

In addition, CWPro has been enhanced with a “rapid placement verification” functionality, which will help reduce the time it takes for students to start internships and other experiential learning opportunities.

Other upgrades to the assessment interface include live form response filtering and a new inline document viewer.

According to the company, Chalk & Wire plans to roll out a micro-credentialing and badging service soon to meet administrators and educators’ growing interest and enthusiasm in alternative credentials.
