Joule 1.2 Expands Reporting, Integrates with Adobe Connect Pro

Moodlerooms has released an update to its learning management system, joule. Version 1.2, released just about a month after version 1.1, expands reporting and content management features and gains integration with Adobe Connect.

Based on the open source Moodle platform, joule is a course management and content management system designed for K-12 and higher education that includes a learning repository, reporting features, assessment capabilities, and tools for collaboration.

The new 1.2 release includes a module for connecting with Adobe Connect Pro, allowing for meetings directly within joule, and adds SCORM reporting, including final grade, last access, last status, and total time. It also gains an updated (1.4) version of Conduit, adding group management and new course mapping features, along with other enhancements.

Other new features include:

  • A new category filter for reporting;
  • Support for displaying ScreenSteps (a screen capture, annotation, and encoding tool) directly within joule;
  • Custom icons within mPower themes; and
  • Updated Wimba Classroom, Sloodle, and WiZiQ plugins.

Joule 1.2 is available now. Further information can be found here.
