In the spirit of continuous improvement, we are always dreaming up new ways to serve Campus Technology readers and event attendees. Here are a few resources the CT team has been working on — as always, we welcome your feedback.
Tutorials
Are you looking to create more interactive activities in Moodle? Would a few tips and tricks make you more productive in Google Apps? CT is developing an online library of technology tutorials for ed tech professionals, covering these topics and more. Our step-by-step tutorials are goal-oriented, designed to solve a problem or reveal something to the intermediate or advanced user that he or she wouldn't normally know. And we're looking for experts who would like to share their skills: If you'd like to contribute, contact CT Executive Producer David Nagel at [email protected].
Project Spotlights
From student tracking software that improves completion rates to an open source system that streamlines research purchasing, Project Spotlights provide a quick view into technology implementations that solve a given challenge at a higher education institution. New Conference Features
Past attendees of our summer conference in Boston are probably familiar with our top-notch sessions, hands-on workshops and inspiring keynotes. But this year our events team has added exciting new programming (mark your calendar for July 28–31):
- SIG Sessions. Join rapid-fire, moderated networking discussion sessions in five special-interest categories: Connectors, Networkers, Trailblazers, Visionaries and Communicators.
- Hot Topic Sessions. Take our "Voice of the People" poll to select your most-wanted session topic. The topics with the most votes will be added to our session schedule.
- Innovator Tech Talks. Honorees from our 10th annual Campus Technology Innovators program will share their award-winning projects and provide insights into their trials and triumphs.
- Peer2Peer Panels. Special 50-minute interactive panel discussions will focus on critical technology trends in higher ed: mobility, security and cloud.
- The "Goldfish Tank." In a session inspired by the reality TV show Shark Tank, presenters will pitch their innovative products or services. Attendees will vote via mobile device for the Goldfish Tank Award — the solution they would most likely use in higher education.
