WebAssign Adds New Homework Tools for University Science Books

WebAssign is expanding its online homework options with solutions for University Science Books, a publisher of astronomy, biology, chemistry and environmental science textbooks.

WebAssign offers customizable online instructional tools, including digital assignments, that feature easy access to individual and whole class performance metrics to assist in "measured learning," according to information on the company's site.

"We are excited to expand WebAssign's physical chemistry offering with McQuarrie and Simon's Physical Chemistry: A Molecular Approach also known as "Big Red," and Chang and Thoman's Physical Chemistry for the Chemical Sciences," said Erik Epp, WebAssign chemistry product manager, in a prepared statement. "WebAssign is already a leader in the advanced mathematics arena, so we are pleased to bring advanced grading options for algebraic expressions, linear and differential equations, and matrices to questions in physical chemistry."

The new offerings will include links to e-books and step-by-step questions designed to help students understand complex topics.

"With WebAssign, we are able to provide users our affordable content through an effective, high-quality online instructional system," said Jane Ellis, publisher at University Science Books, in a prepared statement. "This union enables us to support student learning at a deeper level."
