George Washington U Ramps Fundraising Efforts with Hosted Sungard HE Advance

The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. has chosen SunGard Higher Education's Advance service to support the university's advancement goals and position the institution for future fundraising campaigns. The hosted solution will provide tools to manage alumni and donor relationships. University staff will be able to access the application's services through a browser.

"We felt the Advance Suite offered the flexibility and functionality to support our expanding development programs," said Jerome Posatko, associate VP of development operations. "The application supports complex and sophisticated donor and prospect management programs. And having the software hosted at SunGard Higher Education's data center will help enable our staff to devote their full attention to increasing our fundraising performance and serving as better stewards of our constituents."

Advance's services include the ability to manage campaigns, programs, and proposals; track and analyze statistics for appeals, gift and pledge transactions, and membership drives; track, measure, and report on fundraising activity and performance; and comply with fundraising standards, policies, and practices. The vendor's technical services team will monitor and administer the system for the university.
