Earthworks Debuts Installation Mics
Earthworks is debuting two new series of microphones at the InfoComm 2012 conference happening this week in Las Vegas.
The new series include the IM3 and IM6, both of which are designed for permanent ceiling-mount installation in applications including teleconferencing, distance education, and classroom amplification. The cardioid mics offer a frequency response of 30 Hz to 30 KHz and include a 3- or 6-inch gooseneck mounted on a 4.5-inch body. The IM3 and IM6 run $659 and $699, respectively.
The company also launched a new model in its FlexMic series of lectern microphones, the FMR600. Measuring 22.5 inches in length, the FMR600 offers a rigid center with flexible ends. According to Earthworks, the polar design allows the speaker to move up to 90 degrees off axis while maintaining "the same pristine sound quality and high intelligibility."
The FMR600 FlexMic is available in cardioid and hypercardioid polar configurations for $559.
