WebAssign Debuts Placement Test Tool
WebAssign has launched PlaceU, a new tool designed to help institutions place students based on their own online assessments or those of other universities, such as Purdue or Texas A&M.
"We really wanted to develop a product that simplifies placement testing and gives students a focused, friendly, and easy-to-use environment," said Jennifer Ferralli, product manager at WebAssign, in a prepared statement.
Launching in the fall, PlaceU is designed to offer students an intuitive testing experience. Other features include an analytics dashboard and the ability for administrators to set time limits, retake policies and more.
"What's unique about PlaceU is that our embedded analytics help make a school's test more effective at placing students in the correct course," added Ferralli.
