CollegeFindMe Launches College Recruitment Network
CollegeFindMe has launched a new web-based platform designed to facilitate the
college application and recruitment process for high school students,
guidance counselors and college admissions officers.
Students can
create a personal profile on the site, including college preferences,
academic achievements, extracurricular activities and artifacts related
to their experiences. They then have the option of searching for
colleges using the CFMe Search, College Scorecard or College Navigator
search engines. The platform offers students "the opportunity to
present themselves fully, rather than relying only on a standardized
test score or letter of recommendation," said Christina Bai, founder
and CEO of CollegeFindMe, in a prepared statement.
High school
guidance counselors can use the interface's built-in tracking and
reporting tools to help them support their students during the college
admissions process. The site also gives them access to college
information and news feeds. CollegeFindMe accounts are free for both
students and guidance counselors.
On the other side, admissions
officers can search student profiles to identify those who best meet
their admissions criteria and philosophy. "Admissions officers have a
direct channel to student candidates, allowing them to personalize fee
waivers, scholarship opportunities, college tours and other offers,"
stated a news release from the company.
CollegeFindMe is hosting
its first annual conference on Sept. 21 in Cambridge, MA. Details
and registration information can be found on EventBrite.
Further information about the platform itself can be found on the CollegeFindMe site.
