Indiana Wesleyan University Taps Private Partner to Provide Online Courses

Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) has tapped a private partner to provide online courses in an effort to ease degree attainment for students.

IWU has more than 90 fully online degree programs that start regularly year-round, 17 locations throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky and an accelerated one-course-at-a-time model designed for working adults.

Ina move designed to increase accessibility for students, IWU chose to partner with StraighterLine, a provider of low-cost online college courses.

"Partnering with StraighterLine is just another option IWU offers to reduce the time and cost involved in making students' dreams of obtaining a degree a reality," said R. David Rose, IWU vice president, in a prepared statement. "StraighterLine and IWU both exist to bring the education that adults thought to be unreachable, again within reach, so this is a very natural partnership."
