Mobile Platforms OOHLALA and DubLabs Merge

OOHLALA Mobile and DubLabs, both mobile platforms for student engagement and communication, have merged. The combined company will be able to offer higher education institutions "more system integrations, better student communication tools, and smart data analytics to help improve student engagement, communication and success," according to a news announcement.

Both platforms are designed to help students manage college life, track coursework, communicate with their school and more.

"Together we will be building a complete student success tool — bridging campus technology and communication gaps, helping students navigate their academic and co-curricular lives and providing administrators with richer, more actionable data," wrote Danial Jamel, co-founder of OOHLALA and CEO of the newly combined company, in a blog post.

"Schools sometimes simply check the box when it comes to building a campus app. Students don't need another app on their phone; this is an opportunity to meet students where they are with the information they need," commented Tony Orlando of DubLabs, in a statement. "We collectively see an opportunity to provide schools with a mobile solution that's purposely built to engage and help students."
