AVer Adds Voice Tracking to Camera Lineup

AVer video collaboration

Video collaboration and ed tech company AVer is now offering voice tracking functionality for its AVer Pro AV auto tracking and PTZ series cameras. Using AVer PTZ Link software and specific Shure Microflex Advance microphones (including the MXA910, MXA710, MXA310 and IntelliMix P300 Digital Signal Processor), any AVer Pro AV camera can be configured to automatically switch focus based on who is speaking in a room.

The PTZ Link software allows users to link each of up to five microphones to AVer PTZ cameras. IP-based control allows for easy integration to those devices with no programming required, according to the company. Other features include the option to set a time delay for the PTZ camera so that it waits for a permanent audio signal before focusing on a new speaker, as well as the ability to program a preset position to which a camera can default if audio is not detected after a certain time period.

"The addition of voice tracking technology to our Pro AV lineup of cameras with PTZ Link gives AVer customers the flexibility to provide immersive audio and video experiences to their own audiences," commented Andy Teoh, director of product marketing and OEM partnerships at AVer, in a statement. "Integrating with select Shure microphones will help ensure excellent audio quality and performance to complement our strong video solutions."

AVer PTZ Link is available for Windows and Mac devices and can be downloaded for free from the AVer website.
