SAS Virtual Learning Portal Offers Students Free Training in Analytics Skills

Analytics software provider SAS has launched a new program offering analytics skills training for higher education students. The free virtual learning portal, called SAS Skill Builder for Students, provides a variety of software, learning and career resources to help students gain in-demand job skills and connect with employers.

Elements of the program include:

  • Access to the free cloud-based software solutions SAS OnDemand for Academics and SAS Viya for Learners;
  • Free courses in topic areas such as data literacy, data analytics, programming, visual analytics, statistical analysis, predictive modeling and machine learning;
  • Free certification prep materials and pathways to simplify the journey to SAS certifications (including certification exam discounts);
  • Badges to showcase analytics skills;
  • Career advice and connections to potential employers.

Students must have an academic-affiliated e-mail to access the portal. For more information, visit the SAS site.
